Version 3.9Tried copying my Photos from my Ipod to PC.Only 45 of a possible 700+ transfered over.I tried both as albums and individual images without sucess. Is there any reason for this, why only some transfer and not others.Pete
First let me say thank you guys for making this possible. It baffles me that Apple, would make it a nightmare to manage this Ipod touch. I searched and searched and finally (6 hours later) I found this program. I will be sure to donate as soon as possible. My comment is related to the photos functionality for the program. I would love it (even more), if I were able to multiple select or select all in in my photo albums.
Peter,Could you send me your sharepod.log file after trying to transfer photos please?Mic - thanks. I've just added photo support so its a little basic right now. To select all photos, just choose the first album (usually 'My Pictures'). It contains all the photos on your iPod.
Thank for sharepod! it works perfectly with music files...but :( I couldn transfer my pictures. It shows me the name and number of pictures of each file, but it dosnt show them and if Iclick in "copy photos to pc" in the left corner(down) it letme create a folder and everything but when i open it it shows empty. ¿? what may i do to fix that?
Marce, please redownload 3.9. It should now be fixed.
This application has become my number 1 software to replace itunes, for which i'm extremely thankful. One thing i'd love to see in a future release is the synchronization of the "unsynced lyrics" id3 tags. I really hope it's something that can be realised so that way i could forget itunes for- basically -ever.Keep up the good work!
I cant view my pictures on my iPod Touch. Not support iPod Touch's Photo? :<
I know you get this a lot... but your program is fantastic! It's a gazillion times better than iTunes. Thank You, dude! :)
I have recently downloaded sharepod and although i can succesfully copy folders and files to my Ipod, I am unable to do so by using the drag and drop method. I am runing windows 7 beta and have an old 4g 20gb ipod.thanks for making me forget about itunes.
Hi Jeff, thanks for the software! Managed to get my music from my iPod Touch onto my computer after I lost it all when my Hard Drive died :DOne question though:I'm seeing the playlists on my iPod in your software, but is there any way to export these playlists for use in iTunes?I'm not able to find the SharePod_Itunes_Import.xml file anywhere either, I don't think one is being created. I read in the help that playlists will have an XML file created which can be imported into iTunes, but alas, no XML files are being created! Thanks again, and hope you can help solve my small issue :)
Jeff thanks for your help! it works, now I can transfer the pictures from my ipod to my pc!
Hey Jeff,Having some trouble with an iPod Touch (1G) in Windows 7 build 7000. I'm sure this is an unsupported scenario at the moment, but I figured I'd give you a head's up.When I try to make changes to the iPod (copy music to, change metadata), Sharepod says "saving information to ipod" and then hash72.exe crashes, followed by an error box in Sharepod. I've put a screenshot of the error box as well as the sharepod.log here: https://jrrver.homeserver.com/jrr/Sharepod/. I can copy music off of the ipod without any trouble.I have no problem writing to my iPod Photo in Win7 -- this problem is specific to my Touch. I haven't tried it on my Vista machine yet, but will-do when I get home tonight.
hi im trying to find the log file can u tell me the location of it?thanx
ANA, the log file should be in the same place you put sharepod.exe. So either in some folder somewhere or directly on your iPod.
Use this version of Windows 7 Windows 7 Build download. I have tried it
hey. just dropping a line to say thanks. this is the most brilliant, simple, lightweight, and delicately simple solution to the problem of managing an ipod touch i have yet encountered. to make your work even more impressive and awesome, it's *free*. i'm so impressed and humbled by the talent and generosity that not only manufactured this venture, but did so with a truly open-source spirit. thanks again--ethan
Hello! I've just downloaded SharePod and it's just what I needed. The only thing I can't find is how to export my Track lists for iTunes, is there a way to do that? Thanks a lot!!
I have the same trouble that jrronimo is describing, but I have an iPhone 3G trying to sync with my computer running Win XP SP3.As jrronimo wrote, I am able to sync my iPod Classic & iPod Video, but when I tried with iPhone 3G I always get the hash72.exe crash. Any ideas that can help us to avoid that crash?
I also have the error of has.72 with Sharepod over Windows Xp 64 bits but I found a solution. Try to execute Sharepod with the Compatibility Mode of "Windows XP". It works!
Hehehe, this is Sebastián with nickname & blogger profile updated!@ Icaro: Thanks for your help, but it did not work on my computer, I am using Win XP SP3, 32 Bit, and I tried to use Compatibility Mode for every version of Win options, but it happened the same thing. I still get hash72.exe crashed, and I cannot get any mp3 added to the iPhone. I do not know what happened to my computer because I can sync music via Sharepod with the same iPhone but different PC with Win XP SP3 32bit.Any other ideas?... By the way, thanks in advanced!!
My SOn and I just love SharePod, hope it keeps going and with the community support becomes No1.Just a silly question we have, how do you put photos on the iPod? I see the copy to PC link, which is great..so how do you get them on the iPOd (we dont use iTunes at all BTW, to scared it will wipe off all our Mp3 and Video collections. (Family video and tunes we made over several years)
Hi,First off, great piece of software! Ever since I started using it, I've never used iTunes again. I got a 5G 30GB about two Decembers ago, and never even let iTunes touch it. I started using SharePod on it right away. I haven't had any problems with it, until today. Whenever I start up the .exe (running from the iPod), it gives me a System.NullReference exception. I've never seen this before, and it won't let me do anything else. I've tried deleting the .exe off the iPod and then putting it back with the updated version, but no dice. Is there any way to fix this without resetting my entire iPod? Thanks and keep up the great work!
i too am finding a null reference error when i started up sharepod tonight. never happened before. help!
Great piece of Software... Something I have been looking for as ITunes is so clumsy.....Great work....
Thanks for a great program. The ONLY thing that keeps me from abandoning Itunes completely is the ability to add the same track to a playlist multiple times. I teach a Spin class and have a 12 second "silent" track I put between each song for the class. I can't add it multiple times in Sharepod like I can in Itunes.
i've downloaded the new version however the photo transfer is not working. did i do something wrong? thanks. anyway thank you sharepod
Whenever I sort by track number the next time I open Sharepod I get the system, null exception error and Sharepod closes.I open Sharepod again and the track numbers are all messed up.It seems that Sharepod cannot save by track number.
Hi - I installed Windows7 Ultimate today and have just discovered that I can't "drag n drop" mp3s to Sharepod as I could with XP. I've tried the various Compatability Modes in W7 but haven't been able to fix this.Is it just my PC or is there an issue with Sharepod and W7?Other than this, Sharepod rocks!
Can anyone solve the problem with not saving by track number. Is it something I am doing wrong.I have tried with several versions of Sharepod and they all do the same.If Sharepod cannot save by track number it SUCKS.
I can't get SharePod to read my synced photo albums on my iPhone (original)... I don't know what I am doing wrong...
After much googling I have found out that a lot of people have been having issues with the system.null reference error.I have even e-mailed jeff about this but recieved no reply.Because of this I have come to the conclusion that Sharepod SUCKS and the aftercare is basically none existent.I have now moved on to another Ipod manager called CopyTransManager. I have had no problems with this so far.I can recommend this to other users that are having problems with Sharepod.
It works perfectly for music, but I don't see my photos (I have >700).Am I doing something wrong?
Sharepod is excellent in so many way, allowing much more freedom on how you organize your music. But the Photo transfer inst working for me at all. All the icons are greyed out. The drag and drop function when transferring music also doesn't work. Can someone post a suggestion on this two issues?windows visaIphone 3gthanks
drag/drop problem with vista home basic. any solution for that?
Any update on the photo problem, all the icons are greyed and SharePod (3.9.5) crashes after a few seconds of selecting the photos option.
Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.windows product key
