I've been doing 18 hour days at work lately which leaves little time for anything, let alone more coding. But next week I hope to be able to start working on SharePod support for firmware 3.0.
I got an email last week from someone who sent me a SharePod error message.
Normally this isn't a noteworthy event (lol) but this error message was from SharePod 2. SharePod 2 is over four years old now - to give that some context, the iPod Video wasn't even around then!
If anyone is using a version of SharePod that looks anything like this, please, please upgrade now :)

Sharepod is so great, and itunes such a crap I have no doubt it is worth waiting some days before updating iphone to 3.0-

Just to follow up on these guys' comments - SharePod is absolutely amazing and I definitely couldn't live without it! I hope you get around to upgrading to OS 3.0 support, even if it's just read access for now.
It is weird, because I upgrade my iphone 3g to firmware 3.0 and sharepod still worked. I was able to copy songs to the iphone, which for me is the most important feature.
I was glad b/c I had just gotten the version of sharepod that worked with the 3g. When it worked with the 3.0 firmware I was relieved.
BUT, when I tried today, I got an error "Looks like you have a new iPod!"
Sucks - and I don't think the 3.0 firmware update is worth it either.
But that is interesting, because the first time I did it, it worked to copy songs, and they played and didn't break anything. Now it won't copy songs to the iphone.
Maybe the firmware 3.0 on the Iphone 3G still works with Sharepod?
I mean, sharepod doesn't work with 3g fw 3.0 because sharepod thinks it is the new hardware, but maybe it still should!
Hey I'm getting this error message with the latest version of sharepod. since i update to to firmware 3.0 on my iphone.
iTunesDB file not found in /iTunes_Control/iTunes/iTunesDB
Can u advise me on what the problem is and how to solve it.

sharepod is great thanks so much for the app it is or was a real life saver. Cant wait to use the upgraded version. You did it before I know you can do it again.
I would take back my 3.0 upgrade if I could. The new features it brought were not as useful as what SharePod allowed me to do. I'm sure you will get around to fixing it..I'm sending a meager donation over to help.

Good luck, I could only use sharepod for a few days until I updated my iPhone and now I can't use share anymore... I'm having withdrawals already. :-(
Amazing program as everyone knows. I recommneded it to many friends of mine and gifted an ipod to my daddy with this program in it.
I guess we can't go back to iphone older firmware if upgraded to 3.0, can we?
I have to load something in my iPhone, checking back everyday if there is a sharepod update released for iphone os 3, but there isnt :(
I thought I would never ever say or do this again, I guess I have to go back to iTunes again, disgusting thing. Please save me. :( lol
We tried the program xillisoft iphone transfer and it actually worked quite well. Still an Itunes hater. Patiently waiting for sharepod update to work with 3.0. Loves 3.0 features.
Jeff , can't you track the usb traffic while using xilisoft to get the info needed to fix sharepod?

Great Software man. If I had to depend on iTunes soley to manage my music, I would probably have a zune. Thanks for the hard work. Can't wait to see the next revision for the 3.0 firmware

I am very happy to use the application SharePod. It is so great for me. One day, my big boss drop some music CD and his IPod Touch on my desk and ask my to copy all of the songs from CD to IPod. Oh... Arround 400 music in his IPod, I can't use ITune to do that. SharePod save my life.

Ken - Sharepod worked great for me on my G3 until
I upgraded the firmware to 3.0 (wish I hadn't done that.)
as stated in jeff's next blog post, firmware 3.0 read only is currently working. Now we are hoping he gets some free time to figure out full read/write support.

Sharepod can't find iPod Touch (iPhone) because you update your iTunes from 8.2 to 8.2.1.

I don't know that I-Phone Unlocking Instruction & code site for unlocking it. I know only the Unlocking code site for Nokia,LG,Samsung,Moto,HTC Etc at low cost the site is unlocking code.
