I had a small error with Preview 9. I am running Windows 7 x64. It kept on giving me an error saying that QTCF.dll was not found. I think this may be a iTunes issue as well.
Anyhow I dumped the QTCF.dll into C:\Windows\System32 and SharePod started up with no problems and loaded a movie onto my iPhone 3G S.
The QTCF.dll was found in C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem
errrr, my first try on my nano 5g deleted all the tracks, there is no music when I browse the ipod, but everything is still there in sharepod, so I'm making a backup right now, I think I will try to delet everything then re-import everything. Anyway a BIG THANKS for the update, I can now transfer music on my nano 5g !
well, I deffinetly can't put any songs in my ipod with this version. in fact yeah I can put them in but it will be in "others" so I can't listen to them. what should I trie to do ? re-sync with itunes ? is it important that for the first time I use sharepod it is launched on the same computer as itunes ? thanks

Hello again. I finnaly made up to manage the ipod with sharepod (yeah). It did a great job exept for the part where ALL of my "artist", "songs", or "albums" menu are shuffled entierly. Like if I go in artist, there won't be sorted in alphabetycal order, but at total random. Any way to pur it back, Jeff ? Thanks man. (sorry for the misspells, I'm french.
Neko, thanks for the reports. What did you do to make SharePod start working? Generally, putting at least 1 track on a new iPod with iTunes is the best way to ensure all the files are setup correctly.
The artist/album/track sorting problem I have just verified and fixed on my Nano5G - new version coming tonight :)

If you have fixed the random listing of the tracks I might give it a trie, I really hate itunes ;( thanks !
It's me again, the preview 10 bugged the first time, because I used it to delete all the tracks on the ipod then to put only 3-4 albums (to make sure the track listing was well fixed). but all the previous track added with itunes were still there, and freezing the ipod when trying to play them. so I deleted my whole itunes library, synced the ipod (so it deleted everything on it). THEN I used sharepod preview 10, and it works perfectly =] ! thanks for your work, keep going ! ^^
I have to join "Mark" here. How can you disable the random mode? It skips from any song to any other song. Ignoring that i have selected a playlist, it chooses a random song from all songs stored in my iPod.
I tried to use SharedPod to get my "Camera Roll" pictures off of my iPhone but it didn't find them. It did show all of the other photo folders though. Was this on purpose?
I think you can make a development of one way to put the lyrics, cost me a lot organize my library with Sharepod and put those lyrics track-by-track with other program, like iTunes, who's modify my library when I connect my SP whit and old lib sotred at my hd. Can anyone confirm if drag and drop works on windows 7 now? Are there any special things you have to do to get it working? (ie run as administrator? xp compatability mode?)
Will it be able to support M4B in the add files list filter? Currently my M4bs do not show up and I have to turn off the filter by using All files. Other than that, it seems pretty robust.
M4B files are not fully supported. When you listen to an audiobook on your iPod and stop to listen to music normally your place is bookmarked in the audiobook. If you sync your iPod with Sharepod it will loose the Audiobook bookmark when you go back into the ipod. I hope you can fix this...

about the drag and drop... it is not a bug but windows security thing (if you run program as administrator then windows will not let you drop files in it). If you really want drag and drop to work then disable UAC:

I tried to copy some music to my iphone using this. First of all my track listings were out of order and then when I try to go into artists or tracks under the iphone the ipod app crashes.
Is there anything I can do to fix this as it is highly annoying.

I have downloaded Sharepod V3.8.2 as a zip file. While unzipping the file, a request for a password "pops" up...did not realize that one was needed to install Sharepod...so...the program will not install! Thoughts...recommendations please.

Hey, I love, love, love Sharepod! It's a lifesaver! Recently though I connected a new Nano to Sharepod, everything worked for the Nano, but when I connected my Ipod Classic, all it shows is what was on the Nano previously. This hasn't happened before when I plugged in another Ipod besides mine in (it was a classic though). Is it the Nano (it happened on another program)? I would love to be able to use Sharepod again, without having to delete all of my lovely music, any help? :D
i now have 3.9.4.10. i've used it to clean up tags in my music files. but when i copy back to PC, the changed title reverts back to the original title, instead of saving the newly changed title.

One thing though, when you select one song, none of the check boxes are checked, and you have to click on it before you can edit anything. Could that be changes so that they are checked when only one song is selected?
Hi there, I can't get Sharepod to download properly on my PC. It runs the program however when it is finished and I hit the Allow button, my Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9 application pops up. Also, I did successfully update with Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86) Any help would be appreciated
There's a problem I haven't seen in here but it keeps happening to me; Every time I "Copy to PC" the tracks are missing playcounts and ratings but whenever I "Copy to PC" marking the "Import my music to iTunes" they DO have playcounts and ratings as in the iPod. The only problem that happens when marking this option is that tracks will always play from the last moment the track was stopped/paused. I hope someone has had this case and found a solution.

I am having a problem uploading folders of music that I have converted from CD to MP3 and now use on Windows Media Player. When I select all folders that I would like to upload and it starts, then says 'no files have been uploaded'. Why will it upload music from my 'download' folder, but not from my music library?
I love this product and it hasn't worked since Apple made us update to the new software...I really hope it can be fixed because I absolutely despise itunes.

Are you planning on adding any other music formats to another version? Some of my songs just don't want to go on there!

The current Sharepod version doesn't work with the iTouch with the newer iTunes v9.1.
